Lifestyle changes

Exercise also plays an important role in weight loss as it contributes to lowering the risk of certain health conditions. Exercise does not need to be vigorous, and customers may start incorporating small changes into their lifestyle slowly, such as choosing to walk rather than drive. Adults aged 19 to 64 years who are new to activity should aim to build up to 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity a week.1 If customers are interested in running, you can recommend they try the NHS ‘Couch to 5K’ programme as a great way to get started.
