Boots Antiviral Cold Sore Cream (GSL)

Uses: To treat cold sores of the lips and face.
Features and benefits: Treats cold sores at tingle or blister stage
- Promotes healing
- Directions for use: adults and children: apply a thin layer on the affected area, making sure the whole cold sore is covered, every four hours, five times per day for five days
- If the cold sore has not healed after five days, customers can continue to apply the cream for a further five days if necessary
- You should refer customers to their GP if the cold sore has not healed after ten days.
Boots Mouth Ulcer Pastilles (GSL)

Uses: To help relieve the pain of mouth ulcers and soothe sore gums.
Features and benefits: Soothing antiseptic
- Soothes dentures and sore spots
- Customers should allow the pastille to dissolve slowly in the mouth, keeping it near the painful area
- Directions for use: adults and children aged over three years: one pastille every two hours if needed. Customers should not take more than eight pastilles in 24 hours.
